Face for Business held a fundraising day in the summer to celebrate its first birthday. They managed to raise nearly £200.00 for army charity ‘Help for Heroes’. Inspired by the success of this campaign, they decided to run with an annual charity campaign. After much deliberation and consideration, the team decided to support local charity, Twinkle House, as they are trying to accomplish a £200,000 target for their ‘Sparkle Appeal’.

Face for Business Supports Twinkle House

Supporting a local charity means so much to the team at Face for Business, and they hope to be able to raise the profile of the charity over the next year. Twinkle House has been providing a free support service to children and young people with Disabilities and Additional Needs since May 2004. However, due to current funding dwindling, the ‘Sparkle Appeal’ has been created to both raise awareness of the Charity and to raise £200,000 to keep the charity going beyond March 2015 when current Big Lottery funding ends. People can donate to this Appeal by Texting to 70070 type in GROW15 plus £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10.

Fundraising events for 2015 including the UK’s largest conga

Another part of Twinkle House’s fundraising drive is to gain enough money to pay for the refurbishment of their café, which they hope to turn into a ‘Magical Woodland’ inspired area for a stimulating and fun environment for their visitors. The staff are very excited by the prospect of creating an annual fundraising events calendar for Twinkle House, and have very ambitious plans! Part of their suggested activities is to break a UK Record for the largest conga! Currently the UK record is about 1,500 people, and Face for Business would love for the West Lancashire community to get involved! They hope to plan for the conga in the summer.

With full backing from Managing Director, Andy MacGregor, he had this to say “We are delighted to be involved in a charity this year, and we are pleased to be able to participate in a campaign that is local to our business. We’re looking forward to the year ahead, and hope to raise as much money as we can for Twinkle House”.

CEO of Twinkle House, Jill Boardman, visited Face for Business’ office on Christmas Jumper Day to be appraised of their fundraising plans. She had this to say “We are absolutely thrilled that Face for Business has chosen to support Twinkle House and look forward to hearing about their fundraising activities throughout 2015. We need to encourage more West Lancashire businesses to get on board and help raise funds to ensure Twinkle House continues to exist as without our service, hundreds of families will be without the vital support we provide to them in their community”.
