Face for Business pledges another year of support for local charity Twinkle House
An employee of local telephone answering company, Face for Business, has been instrumental leading a fundraising campaign for Skelmersdale based charity Twinkle House. At the beginning of 2015, the company decided that they wanted to pledge support for a local charity, and Susan Holme suggested the children’s charity. To date the company has raised almost £300.00, from cake sales, fun runs and Christmas Jumper Day donations, as well as recently donating a number of colourful bean bags to complement the centre’s surroundings. The money was presented to CEO Jill Boardman, by Susan and Andy MacGregor (Director of FFB).
Local Giving fundraising target set
However, the company wants to up the ante, and have set up a Local Giving fundraising page, with a target of £5000 that they wish to reach by the end of 2016. This target will contribute towards the centre’s annual running costs, which helps keep the centre open and provides its free 1:1 support service for children with disabilities.
Call answering for free
As well as fundraising and donating, the business has pledged its support further by offering to answer all the charity’s calls for free, to help ensure no donations are missed! Owner, Andy, was keen to offer his support, and couldn’t think of a more suitable way. “Every business misses calls, and we want to ensure that Twinkle House provides a great first response and never misses any calls with donations. We will answer the calls they can’t get to for free, helping to ensure they don’t miss any, which will also ease the pressure off the centre staff.”
Jill says “These much needed beautiful bean bags will be used in our children’s support sessions. Huge thanks to Andy MacGregor and the team at Face for Business for their tremendous support. All of us at Twinkle House are looking forward to your upcoming fundraising activities.”
Money needed to maintain free support services
Twinkle House provides a much needed and free support service for children and young people who have disabilities and additional needs, living in West Lancashire and neighbouring areas. As well as providing practical and emotional support to the children, their carers also benefit from the support at Twinkle House.
